Today, as part of a joint initiative with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), we conducted a practical training on using the water-saving "smart drip irrigation" system on the territory of the Navoi Regional Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking.
The training was organized on the basis of the new system installed on the 10 hectares of the institute's territory. During the event, local farmers and specialists gained practical knowledge and skills in managing water supply using sensors, effectively using water resources, and implementing modern agricultural technologies.
At the end of the training, the participants visited the site where the system was installed, familiarized themselves with the process of its operation and the practical application of intelligent control technology. They also participated in the process of planting seedlings in the new garden and observed the launch of the irrigation system.
This initiative is Uzbekistan's practical step towards the widespread introduction of water-saving technologies and contributing to sustainable development.
