Success story, how sustainable rural development transforms agriculture

Is it possible to obtain high yields on sandy soils? The story of Oychehra Tohirova and her "Shovot-Kumtepa" farm in Khorezm region proves that yes. Thanks to new approaches to crop selection, drip irrigation, and modern agricultural technologies, sustainable results can be achieved even in conditions of desertification.

As part of our initiative for sustainable rural development, farmers gained practical knowledge on rational water use, selecting appropriate varieties, and adapting to climatic conditions. This has helped hundreds of rural residents increase the productivity and sustainability of their farms.

Today, Oychehra not only develops her farm but also shares her knowledge with others, educating women and supporting her community. Her experience has already become an example of successful agricultural transformation at the local level.
