Within the framework of the Sustainable Rural Development Project of the Joint Projects Implementation Group under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, environmental and social assessment of facilities in Navoi region is being conducted.
With the participation of representatives of district khokimiyats, residents of the mahallas where construction facilities have been identified under the project, as well as Environmental Protection and Social Protection Specialists from JPIU, a survey of the land plots allocated for the construction of a kindergarten, schools, a family polyclinic and a building for household services in the mahalla is being carried out. By interviewing residents and Mahalla Citizens Assembly (MCA) members, the impact of future construction on the socio-economic environment and the criteria for considering the population's opinion are being studied.
