The UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Akiko Fudziya received the mission of the Islamic Development Bank headed by the Chief of the Operational Team Vahyu Vijayanto.
During the meeting, priority areas of cooperation, in particular, the implementation of our joint project on sustainable development of rural areas, were discussed.
As Vakhyu Vijayanto noted, the purpose of joint efforts is to provide the rural population of Uzbekistan with access to modern infrastructure and high-quality medical and educational services, thereby raising their living standards.
The parties noted progress in the implementation of joint initiatives for the sustainable development of rural areas in the Aral Sea region, as well as the first results in Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions.
