The Yangiobod citizens' mahalla assembly was formed on the basis of the resolution of the Khakimiyat of the Amu Darya district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan dated August 21, 2013, No. 00044. The Yangiobod MSG is an adjacent mahalla to the Urta Kala SSG of the Amu Darya district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, its area is 136 hectares. According to passport data from April 1, 2023, 2,320 people (505 families, 378 households) live in the Yangiobod MSG, including 1,309 men, 1,011 women, and 901 youth under the age of 18. MSG "Yangiobod" is located at a distance of 3 km from the district center of Mangit, near the MSG Orta Kala, MSG "Dustlik", "Farovon", "Beruniy".
