The Shimom SCG was organized by the decision of the Beruni district khakimiyat No. 036 dated August 22, 2013. The total area of the community is 4,080 hectares of land. The Shimom SCG includes 4 settlements: Chinobod, Ilgorlar, Obi-khayot and Kuk-kuz. The SCG center is located in the Chinobod settlement. The SCG is home to 3,129 families in 1,352 households. The population is 11,902 people, including 5,655 women. Young people aged 0 to 30 make up 4,054 people, including 2,097 women. The SCG has 4 kindergartens for 298 children and 3 schools for 1,583 students. The working-age population is 4,320 people, of whom 599 people work in various organizations, 561 people are engaged in seasonal work, 140 women are caring for a child, 511 people (12%) are labor migrants working outside the country. 133 people are engaged in entrepreneurship, handicrafts and other types of self-employment. There are 246 unemployed residents in the SSG.
