The Akmangyt citizens' village assembly was formed on the basis of the resolution of the Khakimiyat of the Nukus District of the Republic of Karakalpakstan No. 413 dated November 17, 1993 and was defined as an adjacent mahalla to the Samanbay SSG and is the administrative center of the Nukus District. According to the passport data of the Akmangyt SSG dated January 5, 2022, the population of the SSG is 6,732 people, including: men, 1,406 women, including 3,657 young people aged 0 to 30 years (1,453 families, 1,196 households). The Akmangyt PSG includes 8 settlements: Akmangyt Guzar, Abat, Aydarly, Oydaly, Almazar, Tok Tau, Selkhoz Massiv 1, Selkhoz Massiv-2. The total area of the community is 551 hectares of land. According to the main technical and economic parameters of the project "Sustainable Development of Rural Areas" of Appendix No. 1a to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to implement the project "Sustainable Development of Rural Areas" with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development in order to improve the everyday culture of the population through a radical renewal of the architectural appearance of rural settlements, integrated development of regions, construction of road and transport infrastructure, engineering and communication networks and social facilities dated September 18, 2021 under No. 5246, the population of the Akmangyt PSG is shown as 912 people (298 families, 228 households).
