Information about the communities

The JSG “Keneges” was organized on August 23, 2013. The distance from the district center is 13 km. The total area is 4081 hectares. Consists of 9 settlements: “Keneges aul”, “Boz Khauli”, “Uishin”, “Atalyk”, “Kiyat”, “Zhana Kala”, “Zhalaiyr”, “Mukimi”, “Aitkushli”. VSG "Keneges" borders on the collective farm Galkynysh Kunya - Urgench district of the Republic of Turkmenistan.

There are 120 streets on the territory of the SSG, of which 109 are straight streets, 5 are narrow, 3 are dead-end, and 3 are branched. There are no multi-story houses, 1,326 private houses were built in local traditions of housing construction and almost all of them are one-story.

Until 2017, the territory of the Keneges VSG belonged to the Naiman village of the Khojeyli region. It takes its name from the name of the Keneges channel. The total population of the Keneges VSG is 8,005 people, of which 4,049 are women.
