The Kagan MSG was formed on the basis of the resolution of the Khokimit of the Kagan district dated July 30, 2021 and was defined as adjacent to the Sarayon MSG. In addition to the Kagan MSG, the B. Naqshband MSG and the Choloki MSG are also adjacent to the central Sarayon MSG. According to the passport data of the Kagan MSG dated March 1, 2023, the population of the MSG is 2,628 people, of which: 1,348 men, 1,280 women, including 835 youth aged 0 to 18 years (765 families, 765 households). The Kagan MSG consists of 7 settlements: Navbahor, Mallapush, Khofizlar, Uyrot, Arabkhona, Kutrabod and Gulobod on 1,957 hectares of land. MSG "Kagan" is located at a distance of 12 km from the center of the Kagan district of the city of Kagan.
