Kiziltepa district is an administrative unit in the Navoi region of Uzbekistan. The administrative center is the city of Kiziltepa, located in the southwestern part, 80 km from the city of Navoi. It borders on the Konimekh, Navbahor districts in the north, on the Karmanovsky district in the northeast, on the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions in the east, on the Kogan district of the Bukhara region in the south, on the Bukhara, Vobkent and Gijduvan districts in the west. Kiziltepa district of Navoi region was founded on February 9, 1935. On December 24, 1962, it was annexed to the Gijduvan district. Reorganized on December 7, 1970. The population of the Kiziltepa district as of January 1, 2021 is about 153,939 people (regional economic department). The population is mainly Uzbek, but there are also representatives of Tajik, Russian, Kazakh, Tatar, Ukrainian, Armenian and other nationalities. The average population density is 51.9 people per 1 km2. The urban population is 12 thousand, and the rural population is 100.4 thousand people.
